Fresh GitHub accounts

Accounts registered from a day to a few weeks before delivery. Most listings were registered by hand from mixed IP addresses; others say automatic registration, or a US address. Each one has its email confirmed, and a few are confirmed by SMS as well.

Check what the title says about the mailbox. Most fresh listings include it, some with IMAP access so you can read it in a mail client. Listings marked GitHub access only deliver the GitHub login and nothing else.

Age1 to 20 days, 10 days or more, or under a month, as titled
RegistrationManual or automatic; mixed IP or USA
VerifiedEmail; some listings also SMS
MailboxIncluded on most; GitHub access only on some
2FAOn listings that name it

Accounts aged by the month

The biggest group. The title gives the age as a narrow band, such as 2 to 3 months or 9 to 10 months, and every account in the order sits in that band. Bands run from one month up to a year.

Almost all of these come with two-factor authentication already on and access to the email they were registered with, often a Gmail address. The 2FA key arrives in your line, so you can sign in on day one.

Age bandsMonthly, from 1 to 12 months
2FAEnabled; the key is delivered
MailboxEmail access, Gmail on several listings
ProfilePlain; a few listings add a repository and an avatar

Accounts a year old or more

Accounts registered a year or more before delivery. Listings here are sold as 1 year and over, 1 to 2 years, or 2 to 3 years since registration.

They carry 2FA, and the title says whether email access, a personal access token, or both come with them. The age is the registration date; it does not mean the account has a history of commits.

ExtrasEmail access, a classic token, or both, per title

Listings with a personal access token (classic)

A classic personal access token works in place of the password for git over HTTPS and for the GitHub API. These listings deliver one next to the login, the 2FA key and the email access, in bands from under a month to two years.

Treat the token as a password. Once you have signed in, open Developer settings, create a token of your own with only the scopes you need, and delete the delivered one.

First sign-in: make the account yours

Do this once per account, in this order, inside the warranty window.

  1. Sign in

Go to github.com/login and enter the username or email and password from your line.

  2. Enter the code

When GitHub asks for the authentication code, paste the 2FA key into a 2FA code generator (https://checkkit.net/en/online-2fa-code-generator) and type the six digits.

  3. Set your own email

In Settings, then Emails, add an address you control, verify it, make it primary, and remove the delivered one if you no longer need it.

  4. Reset password and 2FA

Under Password and authentication, change the password, set up two-factor again with your own authenticator app, and download the new recovery codes.

  5. Clear what you did not create

Review Sessions, SSH and GPG keys, and personal access tokens. Remove anything you do not recognise.

If a step fails

Wrong password, a code that is refused, or a suspended account: open a ticket from your order page with a screenshot before the warranty window ends, and it is replaced from the same listing or refunded when the listing is empty. Signing in never voids the warranty; suspensions caused by bulk or automated activity are not covered.

GitHub's terms

GitHub sets its own rules on who may hold an account and can suspend any account. Use it within those terms: no fake stars or follows, no spam, and no repeated sign-ups for free plans or trials.
